JOLIE ROSE (ARG), the 3-year-old daughter of EASING ALONG, broke her maiden in her second start, winning the 9th race at Cidade Jardim in Sau Paulo, Brazil going 1,400 meters over the dirt course.
JOLIE ROSE had been second in her debut and she moved up a place to win here by two and one-quarter lengths.
JOLIE ROSE races for Haras E. B. J. and she is trained by V. S. Lopes. Bred in Argentina by Haras Rio Claro S. A., she is out of Rosa D'oro (BRZ) a daughter of Karabas (ARG) who from the Wild Risk (FR) sireline.

Two Group 1 Performers and a Winner Today for Easing Along!
COMPASIVO CAT, the 3-year-old son of EASING ALONG, finished a close second in the G1 Gran Premio Ciudad Buenos Aires Internacional going 1,000 meters over the fast dirt track at Hipodromo Argentino de Palermo.
Breaking smartly, he chased the pacesetter the entire trip and was closing in at the wire, missing by a length.
He is out of the Tempranero (CHI) mare, La Tosquera (ARG).
The next race on the card was the G1 Gran Premio Jorge de Atucha for the 2-year-olds going 1,500 meters and EASING ALONG filly SIMPATICA CAT finished third.
Saving ground along the inside down the backstretch and around the turn, she was getting to the leader late and was three-quarters of a length away from the victory.
She is out of the Compatible (ARG) mare, Compenetrada (ARG).
In the 16th race on the day, 3-year-old colt JUMBO came from off the pace to win the 1,400 meter contest over the main track.
Stalking the pace, he moved out to the six path for the stretch drive. Four hundred meters from home, his rider asked his for his best and he found another gear, sweeping past the leaders and going on to win by a length and one-half.
JUMBO has won or placed in eight of his ten career starts and finished fourth the other two times. He was produced by the Time for a Change mare, Ritza (GB).

Easing Along Filly Third in G1 in Second Start!
SIMPATICA CAT (ARG), the 2-year-old EASING ALONG filly, finished third in the G1 Gran Premio Eliseo Ramirez in just her second lifetime start!
SIMPATICA CAT was taken off the early pace in the field of ten and she launched her bid initially up the rail as the field lined up at the top of the stretch. She encountered traffic and she had to switch outside during her bid, but she was finishing strongly and was only two and one-half lengths away from the victory.
March 23, 2008:
JACINTO CAT (ARG) fought every step of the way and his determination carried him to victory in the 14th race at Hipodrom Argentino de Palermo going 1,400 meters over the dirt track.
The 3-year-old son of EASING ALONG was away sharply and opend up a two length lead in the early going. Joined by a bevy of challengers round the turn, JACINTO CAT was headed for awhile, but never quit fighting. Digging in the length of the long stretch, he would not fade and he got up in the last stride to win by a nose.
JACINTO CAT has won or placed in three of his six starts. He is out of the Compatible (ARG) mare, La Goochi (Arg).
March 15, 2008:
JUMBO (ARG), the 3-yearold son of EASING ALONG, broke his maiden going 1,200 meters over the dirt course at Hipodromo Argentino de Palermo.
The chestnut colt tracked the pace and made his move along the rail through the stretch. Taking over inside the final two hundred meters, he drew away to win by two lengths.
JUMBO races for La Coneja (SA) and he is trained by Alfredo Gaitan Dassie. Bred by Haras Rio Claro S. A., he is out of the Time for a Change mare, Ritza (GB).
March 7, 2008:
TWO BACK-TO-BACK 2YO WINNERS FOR EASING ALONG!
FOR ME CAT (ARG), the 2-year-old daughter of EASING ALONG, broke her maiden second time out in the 6th race at San Isidro, a 1,400 meter maiden over the turf course.
Third in her debut over the short distance of 900 meters, FOR ME CAT relished the stretch out. Letting the pacesetter go uncontested for the first eight hundred meters, she made her move and was even in a few strides. FOR ME CAT took over with 400 meters to run and she opened up quickly. She ran a bit greenly nearing the wire, but it didn't matter as she was six lengths in front and she maintained that lead to the finish.
FOR ME CAT is a homebred for Haras el Alfalfar and she is trained by Alfredo F. Gaitan Dassie. She was produced by the Caro (IRE) mare, Little Bit Shy.
The next race on the card at San Isidro produced the second EASING ALONG filly breaking her maiden.
MARTINETA CAT, another homebred for Haras el Alfalfar took the field wire-to-wire in her debut going 1,400 over the turf. Breaking like a rocket, MARTINETA CAT established a clear lead and although she was getting tired inside the final one hundred, she gamely held on to win by a neck.
MARTINETA CAT was produced by the Shy Tom mare, La Martina (ARG).
February 22, 2008:
JAVELOTTE (ARG), the 3-year-old daughter of EASING ALONG, came from off the pace with a powerful stretch run to win the 2nd race at Hipodromo Argentino De Palermo going 1,200 meters over the main dirt track.
Away in good order, JAVELOTTE was a half-dozen lengths off the pace in the early going. She closed that gap by half around the turn and was ready to pounce at the top of the stretch. Rolling down the outside, she swept to the lead under a handride and and won by three-quarters of a length without strong urging.
JAVELOTTE races for Haras Futuro (SI) and she is trained by Alfredo Gaitan Dassie. Bred by Haras Rio Claro S. A., she is out of the Mountdrago (ARG) mare, Storm Girl (ARG). Mountdrago was Argentinian Horse of the year and he is from the Ambiorix (FR).
February 18, 2008:
JILY (ARG), the daughter of EASING ALONG, scored the second victory of her career, taking the 9th race at Hipodromo Argentino de Palermo, a 1,400 meter allowance over the main dirt track.
JILY rated midpack down the backstretch and around the sweeping turn. Placed out in the middle of the track as the field straightened away to do battle down the long stretch, she closed resolutely to gain the lead inside the final hundred meters and she was a length best at the line.
A homebred racing for Haras Rio Claro S. A., she is out of the Turkoman mare, Radiosa.

SIMPATICA CAT LATEST STAKES WINNER FOR EASING ALONG!
SIMPATICA CAT (ARG), the 2-year-old daughter of EASING ALONG, is a stakes winner in her racing debut! The chestnut filly scored her first added money victory going 1,400 meter over the turf at San Isidro in the Especial Srta. Belen(1990), which is the official prep for the G1 Del Gran Premio Eliseo Ramirez.
SIMPATICA CAT was away sharply from post seven and she was the widest of all in a three way battle for the lead. As her two early companions dropped back with 400 meters to run, she faced a fresh challege from a closer. She dug in and held her lead to the wire, winning by a neck.
A full sister to G1 winner QUE PIENSA CAT, she is a homebred racing for Haras El Alfalfar. She was produced by the Compatible mare, Compenetrada.
February 10, 2008:
LLORON CAT WINS G2 Clasico Guillermo Kemmis
LLORON CAT, the 2-year-old son of EASING ALONG, who won the G3 Clasico Congreve on January 19, came right back today to win the G2 G2 Clasico Guillermo Kemmis going 1,000 meters over the fast dirt track at Hipodromo Argentino de Palermo.
LLORON CAT dashed out of the gate and was on the lead two steps out of the gate. Never getting a breather, he was challenged and headed a furlong from home, but he dug in and regained the lead nearing the wire to win by a neck. He galloped out strongly past the wire.
The handsome colt with a blaze from forehead to his nostrils has won three of his four lifetime starts. The Haras El Alfalfar homebred is out of the Contested Bid mare, Lagrimas de Oro (ARG).
February 1, 2008:
SOPRESA CAT (ARG), the 2-year-old daughter of EASING ALONG made a winning debut in the 4th race at San Isidro going 1,000 meters over the turf course.
Breaking from the outside post, dark bay filly was away greenly, swerving to the right and losing some valuable ground. Straightened up and brought back to the field from the middle of the track, she took the lead with a quick burst of speed and was never again headed. She galloped strongly to the wire to win by a length and one-half.
SORPRESA CAT (Surprise Cat translated) is a homebred racing for Haras Alfarfar. She was produced by the Bid Us (Bold Bidder sireline) mare, Spring Lonely.
January 19, 2008:
LLORON CAT WINS G3 CLASICO CONGREVE
LLORON CAT, the 2-year-old son of EASING ALONG, became his latest Graded Stakes Winner with his victory in the Clasico Congreve going 1,000 meters over the turf course at San Isidro!
The handsome blazed-faced colt was away sharply, but there were three others who battled it out for the first six hundred meters. Coming off the rail of the straight course and moving in between horses with a strong run, LLORON CAT took the lead in the final two hundred and opened up as much the best under a hands and heals ride to the wire to win by nearly two lengths.
A homebred racing for Haras Alfalfar, he is trained by Roberto Pellegatta. He is the third foal from the Contested Bid mare, Lagrimas de Oro, whose name translated means "tears of gold." The mare has three additional EASING ALONG foals, the 3-year-old filly Tears Cat, the yearling filly named Tristeza Cat and a weanling colt named Weeping Cat.
January 19, 2008:
MATRERO CAT came flying from the back of the pack to break his maiden in his racing debut, a 1,400 meter turf contest carded as the 5th race at San Isidro.
The son of EASING ALONG broke strongly and was in behind the leaders wehn he got in tight, had to check and was shuffled back to last down the backstretch. This might have discouraged most first timers, but the chestnut colt determinedly kept on. He moved into the middle of the pack coming up the inside around the turn. He moved off the rail and to the far outside and he unleashed a furious kick that carried him to the lead in the final strides. He earned his maiden victory by a head.
MATRERO CAT is a Haras Alfalfar homebred. He is out of the Shy Tom mare, La Martina.
January 14, 2008:
Two Winners today for EASING ALONG!
JACINTO CAT (ARG), the 3-year-old son of EASING ALONG, broke his maiden third time out in the 7th race at Hipodromo Palermo going 1,200 meters over the fast dirt course.
JACINTO CAT was away well from post nine and he tracked the pace from his outside position. He began to make his move two furlongs from home and he drew even 200 meters from the wire. He leader was not giving in and neither was JACINTO CAT and at the wire, the EASING ALONG colt prevailed by a head.
JACINTO CAT is a homebred for Haras El Alfalfar. He is the second foal from the Compatible (ARG) mare, La Gochi (ARG). Compatible traces back in tail mail to Claiborne sire, Blenheim II.
The second winner today for EASING ALONG was FELIX CAT (ARG), dominated the field while scoring his second career victory in the 11th race at Hipodromo Palermo going 1,000 meters over the straight dirt course.
FELIX CAT broke sharply and he opened up on the field a few strides from the gate. Keeping the pedal to the metal, he was never challenged and he crossed under the wire nine lengths clear of the second place finisher.
FELIX CAT has two wins and two seconds in his four career starts. Bred by Haras E Alafalfar, he races for Aladino. He is out of the Kasteel (FR) mare, Nebraska (ARG). Kasteel is a grandson of legendary Claiborne sire, Bold Ruler.
January 12, 2008:
JUST A LOOK (ARG) earned his second career victory in the 9th race at San Isidro going 1,400 meters over the turf course at San Isidro.
The nearly black colt stalked the pace and made his move two furlongs from home. He took the lead inside the final 200 meters and he drew away to win by a length and one-half.
JUST A LOOK now has two wins and two second in his four career starts.
December 1, 2007:
SIXTEENTH FIRST CROP WINNER FOR EASING ALONG!
JUST A LOOK (ARG), the 3-year-old son of EASING ALONG, broke his maiden in his second lifetime start, scoring an impressive victory going 1,400 grassy meters in the 9th race at San Isidro. He is the SIXEENTH WINNER from his sire's first crop!
Second in his career debut on July 20 over the same course and distance, JUST A LOOK was first out of the gate, but two speedballs decided they wanted to set a rapid pace, so JUST A LOOK settled into a relax gallop down the backstretch and going into the sweeping far turn. He rallied to even terms at the top of the long stretch and he was confidently ridden to the wire, cruising to the finish in hand and winning by four lengths.
JUST A LOOK is out of TIZ A LOOKER, a Mr. Prospector mare whose dam was the multiple G1-winner Tizna (CHI).
November 30, 2007:
LLORON CAT, the 2-year-old colt from the second crop of EASING ALONG, broke his maiden going 800 meters in the 7th race at Palermo in Argentina.
Breaking sharply from the inside post, he cleared the field quickly and moved to the center of the track, where it seemed, everyone wanted to be. He was challenged on the pace for for the first six hundred meters and then he moved away easily in hand by a length and one-half. His final time was :45.53.

FIFTEENTH FIRST CROP WINNER FOR EASING ALONG!
CARABINIERI (ARG), the 3-year-old son of EASING ALONG, became the FIFTEENTH WINNER from his first crop! He broke his maiden by a nose over a field of twelve going 2,000 meters (approx. ten furlongs) in the 3rd race at La Plata.
CARABINIERI was bred by Jorge Cardemil de Rurange. He is out of the Fitzcarraldo (ARG) mare, Phlakita (ARG).

BASTIAN GAINES ANOTHER GROUP PERFORMANCE!
BASTIAN, the 3-year-old son of EASING ALONG, finished second in the Group II Clásico Prado Heudebert going 2,000 meters (approx. ten furlongs) at Hipódromo de Monterrico in Peru. He finished a length and one-half away from the winner.
September 23, 2007:
COMPASIVO CAT WINS THIRD GROUP RACE!
COMPASIVO CAT (ARG) blazed to an easy two and one-half length victory in the G3 Clásico Paraguay going 1000 meters over the main track at Hipodromo Argentino de Palermo. It was the third victory at the Group level for the son of EASING ALONG.
Breaking from the outside post for the the sprint run over the straight course, COMPASIVO CAT was away cleanly and was up with the pacesetters while holding his position near the stands side rail. Roused three hundred meters from home, he opened up on the rest in just a few strides and was in hand and under a hand ride thereafter to the wire. He stopped the clock with a final time of :54.10. There were four additional 1000 meter races run on the same card and COMPASIVO CAT'S clocking was more than a second faster than the next best time for the distance.
COMPASIVO CAT has also captured the Group 1 Gran Premio Suipacha and the Group 2 Guillermo Kemmis.
September 22, 2007:
FOURTH GRADED STAKES HORSE FOR EASING ALONG!
BASTION (ARG) is the fourth graded stakes performer from the first crop of EASING ALONG! The 3-year-old colt, who won the Clásico Empery last out at Hipódromo de Monterrico in Peru, returned over the same to finished second, three-quarters of a length back in the GIII Clásico Claudio Fernández Concha going 1800 meters over the turf course.
September 1, 2007:
SECOND GI WINNER FOR EASING ALONG
COMPASIVO CAT (ARG) is the second GI winner from the first crop of EASING ALONG! The newly turned 3-year-old colt came flying with strong late run to win the GI Gran Premio Suipacha going 1000 meters (approx. five furlongs) at San Isidro.
Breaking from post seven, COMPASIVO CAT settled midpack over the straight course. Halfway home, he began to close. Spliting horses in deep stretch, he dashed on through and went on to win by three-quarters of a length.
COMPASIVO CAT, who previously won the GII Guillermo Kemmis, was produced by the Temperano (CHI) (a grandson of Cannonade) mare, La Tosquera (ARG). The mare has a newly turned 2-year-old and yearling full siblings to COMPASIVO CAT.

FOURTH STAKES WINNER FOR EASING ALONG!
BASTIAN (ARG), is the FOURTH STAKES WINNER from the first crop of EASING ALONG! The newly turned 3-year-old colt romped to victory in the Clásico Empery going 1800 meters on the turf at Hipódromo de Monterrico in Peru by four and one-quarter lengths.
BASTIAN (ARG) was produced by the Caro (IRE) mare, Little Bit Shy, whose direct female family traces to the foundation mare Myrtlewood, through her Bull Lea daughter, Duranza. He is being pointed for the Clásico Claudio Fernández Concha (Gr.III) in September.
July 8, 2007:
QUE NOCHE CAT (ARG) is the THIRTEENTH WINNER for the first crop of EASING ALONG! The newly turned 3-year-old colt broke his maiden by a long head over the 1400 meter trip in the 8th race at La Plata.
QUE NOCHE CAT (ARG) was bred by Haras El Alfalfar. He is out of the Farnesio (ARG) mare, Farrita (ARG). Farnesio, a son of the Nashua stallion Good Manners, raced in the USA at five, winning the Premiere Handicap and placing in multiple graded stakes.
June 30, 2007:
EASING ALONG COLT SECOND IN GROUP ONE!
SENTIMIENTO CAT (ARG), who won the Clasico Julio Felix Penna on May 18 in his racing debut, defeated all but one in the Group 1 Gran Premio Estrellas Juvenile going 1600 meters at San Isidro in his second start!
Sitting just behind the first flight until the top of the long stretch, the son of EASING ALONG boldly moved between horses and took the lead. Challenged immediately, he fought the eventual winner, who was making his third appearance in a Group 1 event, every step and was only bested in the late strides. He was four lengths clear of the third place finisher.
SENTIMIENTO CAT is out of the Tempranero (CHI) mare, Repartija. Tempranero is a son Litigator, who was by Kentucky Derby winner Cannonade out of the Del Mar Futurity and Norfolk Stakes winner, June Darling.
EASING ALONG’s first crop of 2-year-olds also includes the impressive G1 winner QUE PIENSA CAT.

TWELFTH WINNER FOR EASING ALONG!
ORIGEN NOBLE is the TWELFTH WINNER from the first crop of EASING ALONG! The 2-year-old filly broke her maiden going 1600 meters at San Isidro Hipodromo.
Bred by Jorge Cardemil de Rurange, she is the first foal from the Roy mare, Originaria (Arg). The mare has a yearling colt named Mestre (Arg) and she was bred back to EASING ALONG in November of 2006.
June 4, 2007:
TWO MORE WINNERS FROM THE FIRST CROP OF EASING ALONG!
EASING ALONG had his TENTH and ELEVENTH first crop winners in the last three days. BRAUNILLA, a 2-year-old filly, broke her maiden going 1300 meters by a half-length in the 3rd race on June 1 at Club Hípico de Santiago in Chile.
Bred by El Alfalfar, she is out of the Ski Champ mare, Brauna. Ski Champ was a Group 1-winning son of Icecapade, out of the Acorn S. (G1) winner, Ski Goggle.
The ELEVENTH WINNER for EASING ALONG came today at Palermo in Argentina, when his 2-year-old son JALOUX, broke his maiden in his second start going 1200 meters by a length and one-half.
Bred by Haras Rio Claro S. A., he is out of the Itajara (BRZ) mare, Sweet Kiss. Itajara is the sire of the multiple Grade 1 winner in the USA, Siphon (Brz).

Leading Sire EASING ALONG to Claiborne in 2008! 
First crop sire sensation EASING ALONG, a Claiborne-raised son of Storm Cat out of G1winner/producer Cadillacing, will stand at Claiborne for the 2008 breeding season. The farm has purchased a half-interest the stallion, who currently tops the freshman sire list in Argentina. He will shuttle between El Alfalfar in the Southern Hemisphere and Claiborne.
EASING ALONG’s first crop of 2-year-olds includes the impressive G1 winner Que Piensa Cat. After breaking her maiden by ten lengths, Que Piensa Cat pulled away to win the Group 1 Gran Premio Eliseo Ramirez by eight lengths and set a new course record in the process. In addition, another first-crop juvenile, Compasivo Cat, won the Group 2 Guillermo Kemmis.
“This stallion is off to an impressive start,” said Claiborne’s Bernie Sams, “and as an added bonus, he’s a son of Storm Cat who is from a proven sire family. We couldn’t be more pleased to introduce him to U.S. breeders.”
EASING ALONG is out of Ballerina-G1 winner Cadillacing, who is a full sister to Belmont-G1/Travers-G1 winner Easy Goer. His full brother, multiple graded-placed Lion Hearted, is a leading sire in Maryland whose offspring include 2007 Cicada-G3 winner Control System; and his half-brother Game Plan is the sire of 2007 Fair Grounds Oaks-G2 and Sunshine Millions Oaks winner Mistical Plan.
Bred in Kentucky by the Phipps Stable and raced as a homebred, EASING ALONG won his first two starts in New York at two, including a maiden special weight by 5 1/2 lengths. Half siblings Strolling Along (Futurity-G1, etc.) and Cat Cay (Top Flight-G2, etc.) are both multiple graded stakes winners.
EASING ALONG will arrive at Claiborne this fall after he completes the upcoming Southern Hemisphere season. His fee will be determined at a later date.
