POLITICAL FORCE RETIRED. G1 WINNER ARRIVES AT CLAIBORNE!

Grade 1 winner POLITICAL FORCE arrived at Claiborne Farm this morning where he will enter stud for 2008. The 4-year-old son of Unbridled’s Song out of multiple Grade 1 winner Glitter Woman will stand for $15,000 live foal. Bred and raced by Joseph Allen, POLITICAL FORCE made his last start in the Sept. 30 Jockey Club Gold Cup-G1, where he finished third to championship contenders Curlin and Lawyer Ron.

Raised at Claiborne, POLITICAL FORCE raced at two, three and four. He made 17 starts and won or placed in 13 of them, including six stakes, all graded. Awinner at two and runner-up to Bluegrass Cat in the Nashua-G3, POLITICAL FORCE enjoyed the best year of his career in 2007. In addition to his 1 1/4-length win the Suburban H-G1, POLITICAL FORCE was second by less than a length in the Metropolitan Mile-G1, and also placed in the Westchester-G3 and Skip Away-G3.

A son of leading sire Unbridled’s Song, POLITICAL FORCE is out of Ashland S-G1 winner Glitter Woman. A millionaire and five-time graded stakes winner, Glitter Woman is a half-sister to Unbridled Elaine, winner of the Breeders’ Cup Distaff-G1. Like POLITICAL FORCE, Unbridled Elaine also is by Unbridled’s Song.
